On this page, you’ll find inspiration for both day trips and small detour routes along the Archipelago Trail. These short routes are ideal if you want to experience nature without walking a full stage – but you can, of course, also choose to follow one of the trail’s complete sections if you’re looking for a bigger challenge.

Tips for your trip

A small, comfortable daypack of 20–30 litres makes a day trip much easier. Choose a model with padded straps and back support so the contents don’t bother you while walking. There’s room for a packed lunch, water, a thermos, rain gear, a sit pad, maps or brochures – and possibly a pair of binoculars.

Your phone is best kept in your pocket, so you can quickly take photos or check a downloaded map if you drift slightly off course.

Some hikers prefer using trekking poles, as they can provide both support and relief. Try borrowing a pair first to see if they work for you.

Choose a dry day and set aside two to three hours. Take breaks, pack a good lunch and bring plenty to drink – cold on warm days and warm on cold days.

Take your time. It often takes about an hour before your body warms up and the hike starts to feel natural. And it may take a little longer before everyday stress fades and a sense of calm settles in.

If not, tourists can also use Flextur, a flexible on‑demand service that picks you up at an agreed location and drives you to your next stop.

To use the service, you simply enter your pickup point, destination, and preferred time on the website, and Flextrafik will confirm the nearest available vehicle. You can also book by phone at +45 63 11 22 55, which is helpful if you’re already out on the trail.
Remember to book well in advance—especially on weekends and holidays—to ensure a smooth and stress‑free end to your hike.
